Research Study Using CareFlow Vitals is Highly Commended at Patient Safety Awards.

11th November 2020

The DETECT research study, which is using System C’s CareFlow Vitals, has received a high commendation in the HSJ Patient Safety Awards’ Deteriorating Patients and Rapid Response Systems category.

Yesterday’s virtual awards ceremony celebrated teams at the frontline pushing the boundaries of patient safety and driving change to minimise risk, enhance quality of care and ultimately save lives.

The DETECT study is a pioneering research programme to identify early warning signs of deterioration in children with the aim of reducing critical care transfers.

It is a partnership programme between Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, The University of Liverpool, Edge Hill University, Lancaster University and System C.

Earlier this year the research study picked up an award for patient safety innovation at the North West Coast Research and Innovation Awards and was also awarded the Most Promising Solution at the HTN People and Partnership Awards.
